About Nicole

Hello from Texas!

I've always been fascinated by the power of a thoughtful question.

Not because questions are interesting on their own, but because of what they make possible.

Long before I created Tonight's Connection, I developed the habit of journaling and asking myself reflective questions. Over time, those moments of self-discovery made it easier for me to express who I am and what matters to me.

Looking back, I can see that those quiet moments of reflection shaped the way I experienced relationships. They taught me that meaningful connection begins long before two people sit down to have a conversation.

It begins with the willingness to understand ourselves.

Over the years, I've come to believe that many people are approaching relationships backwards. Years are spent searching for the right partner while overlooking the two relationships that shape every other one.

Our relationship with the Creator and our relationship with ourselves are the foundation for everything that follows. Whether you call the Creator God, the Universe, Source, or the Divine, that connection is where self-discovery begins.

Self-discovery leads to clarity. Because when we truly know ourselves, we become aware of what matters most. We recognize our values, our needs, our purpose, and the life we genuinely want to create.

Clarity leads to alignment. Once we're clear about who we are and what we want, our choices begin to reflect that clarity. We naturally make decisions that support the life we're building and the relationships we want to experience.

Alignment leads to a more fulfilled life. As our daily choices become more aligned with our values and purpose, our lives begin to feel more authentic, intentional, and fulfilling.

Alignment isn't a destination we arrive at. It's a way of living. Once we experience the peace and fulfillment that come from living in alignment, we become more intentional about protecting it. We begin making decisions through a different lens, asking whether our careers, relationships, friendships, commitments, and daily choices support the life we're creating or pull us away from it.

A fulfilled life creates healthier relationships. Instead of hoping love alone is enough, we become intentional about asking questions that help us determine if we're building lives that genuinely align.

That's why I believe meaningful relationships don't begin when two people meet. They begin long before that.

In 2020, at 45 years old, I created a set of questions on note cards to use with someone I've known for more than thirty years.

What surprised me wasn't that we had great conversations using those cards.

We already did.

What surprised me was what those conversations revealed.

Week after week, the questions uncovered perspectives, values, priorities, and ways of thinking we had never explored before. They helped me realize that although we had known each other for decades, there were important areas of our lives that weren't as aligned as I had once believed.

The experience revealed something else I hadn't expected. Meaningful connection isn't only shaped by the answers we give. It's also shaped by our willingness to remain curious about one another. I realized that curiosity itself says something about how we value connection.

That experience changed the way I thought about relationships.

I realized that meaningful questions don't simply help us get to know one another. They help us identify alignment.

No matter how long we've known someone, there is almost always another story to hear, another perspective to understand, another dream to discover, or another layer waiting to be revealed.

That realization eventually inspired me to create Tonight's Connection.

As I continued using those questions with friends, family, and people in my life, I began noticing another pattern.

Some people naturally leaned into the deeper questions. Others consistently gravitated toward the lighter ones.

Whenever a question invited someone to look inward, conversations often became shorter, quieter, or stayed on the surface. The more I observed this across different relationships, the more I realized that the depth of our conversations is deeply influenced by how well we know ourselves.

That insight helped me understand something about my own journey.

The years I had spent journaling and reflecting had shaped the way I experienced conversations. They allowed me to recognize my own thoughts, emotions, values, needs, and experiences more clearly. They also changed the kinds of conversations I longed to have with others.

Tonight's Connection is where those conversations come to life for us.

Rather than creating another card deck that would spend most of its time sitting on a shelf, tucked away in a drawer, or waiting for a special occasion, I wanted to create something you could carry with you every day.

Whether you're exploring alignment with someone you're dating, nurturing a long-term relationship, or reconnecting with your partner after a busy day, thoughtful questions should always be within reach. They also create meaningful conversations with friends and family, helping deepen the relationships that matter most throughout every season of life.

Tonight's Connection is the tool that helps you create unforgettable experiences with the people who matter most.

Thank you for being here.

I believe meaningful connection matters so much more than we often realize.

It grows through curiosity.

It grows through reflection.

It grows through the willingness to keep learning about ourselves and one another.

My commitment is to help you do both, one thoughtful question at a time.
