You’re Allowed to Change Your Mind

The Sun card represents joy, vitality , and success, three things that may be more connected than we sometimes realize.

There are many people working hard to build a successful life without ever stopping to ask what success actually means to THEM. It’s easy to look around and start chasing the version of success being presented by OTHER PEOPLE: a certain amount of money, a certain lifestyle, a certain level of recognition, bigger houses, bigger businesses, and perfect-looking relationships.

But a life can LOOK successful from the outside and feel completely different to the person living it. A relationship can LOOK perfect to everyone watching while the two people inside it are MISERABLE. A career can LOOK impressive while draining the person doing the work. A beautiful home can still feel EMPTY. Money can provide comfort WITHOUT automatically creating HAPPINESS.

REAL SUCCESS means doing work that is genuinely enjoyable and pays enough to live the life that is TRULY DESIRED. It means working for a company or running a business that treats people well. It means having enough time to take care of your physical and mental health, spend time with the people who matter, and actually enjoy the life that is being created.

The Sun reminds us that JOY has a PURPOSE. When something is being created from a place of joy, it can give us the ENERGY to keep showing up for it. That energy becomes VITALITY. And vitality helps make success SUSTAINABLE.

This does not mean everything will always feel easy. Building anything worthwhile requires EFFORT, but it is possible to work incredibly hard, reach the goals that were SUPPOSED to make you happy, and still look around one day and realize you have built a life you do NOT enjoy living.

The Sun invites us to look at what we are building and ask whether JOY is the FOUNDATION of it. Joy gives us a reason to KEEP GOING, and sometimes…losing that joy is what lets us know it’s TIME TO STOP.
